Lewes is located on the mid-Atlantic shore of Delaware at the mouth of the Delaware River. To get to Lewes from outside the DC area, you will need to drive from one of four airports: Washington National (DCA), Dulles International (IAD), Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) or Philadelphia International (PHL). All are two-and-a-half to three hours away depending on the time of day. Although the wedding is going to be before the season, we recommend not attempting to make the drive during the evening rush hour as it could easily add two hours to your trip. The most direct route is either BWI or PHL. Philadelphia will also be the least likely to have you sitting in rush hour. If you're coming in on Friday, we would recommend avoiding IAD all together.

Cross DE-1 Coastal Hwy onto DE-9 Savannah Rd East toward Lewes
