The Stepping Stone specializes in one-of-a-kind American made art in a variety of media including pottery, wood, glass, metals and jewelry. We have selected an artist (Kaleidoscope Pottery) carried at the Stepping Stone to create our "Leafware" dishes. This set of dishes will be made specifically for us and we intend to use these pieces as our everyday dinnerware.

Kaleidoscope Pottery has been producing high quality, functional stoneware pottery for almost twenty-five years. Each piece of Leafware is created by hand in a small, New England studio. The leaves used for the designs are picked from a garden and the surrounding area; the selection includes over thirty varieties of leaves. The process involves using the actual leaf impressions, making each piece unique.

Each piece uses high temperature stoneware that is fired to 2300°F. This produces work that is beautiful and entirely functional. Designed with daily use in mind, the surfaces are very durable and will not scratch from silverware. All pieces are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe.
